Seven months to the end of tenure, Council Chair dissolves Market Revenue Committee
Despite having less than seven months to complete his term as Executive Chairman of Essien Udim Local Government, Mr. Anthony Luke has dissolved Obo Annang Market Revenue Committee.
The dissolution was made known to the public by Press Secretary to the Chairman,
Edidiong Idemokon, in a three-paragraph press release.
The chairman thanked the “committee for their services to the council and wished them well in their future endeavours.”
The statement further directs, “The committee’s leadership is now directed to submit all Council properties at their disposal to the office of the Head of Service with immediate effect.”
Reacting, a pundit who did not want his name in print said the dissolution might have something to do with the performance of PDP during the last Presidential and National Assembly elections.
