COVID-19: AKWA IBOM GOVERNMENT OFFICAL SPEAKS ON CLOSURE OF SCHOOLS
Dr Dominic Ukpong, Commissioner for Health, Akwa Ibom State has spoken on directive by Federal Government to close all schools.
In a brief message posted on social media group, WhatsApp the Commissioner said Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel has not given a directive for school closure.
He further supported the reason for the non-closure because there has been no recorded case of the virus in the state.
“There is no directive from Governor Udom Emmanuel to close down schools in Akwa Ibom State as there no registered case of the virus yet in the state.”
He concluded by advising all to go about their normal routine and also observe precautionary measures.
“Everyone is enjoined to go about their normal activities but observe precautionary measures.”
