COVID 19: EMEM EKPRI NSUKARA SPEAKS ON GOV UDOM

A foremost Community Leader in Uyo Local Government Area, Otuekong Emem Asikpo also known as Emem Ekpri Nsukara has commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for his sincerity in the fight against COVID-19 in the state.
Asikpo in an Appreciation Message to the Governor, particularly thanked the State Chief Executive for the recent distribution of relief materials to vulnerable people across the state and the lifting of the lockdown.
He said the Governor, through the palliatives, has put smiles on the faces of many, especially, the poor who were largely affected by the Coronavirus lockdown.
“You have again, through such benevolence, proven yourself as a compassionate, thoughtful and humane Servant Leader, even in the face of harsh economic realities occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic”, he said.
The community leader also appreciated Governor Emmanuel over what he described as “commitment to workers’ welfare”, especially, at this critical time.
“The payment of salaries even before the month end, has given Akwa Ibom workers a sense of belonging and further cemented their faith in your administration.
“Coming at a period when most state governments have either slashed or not paid workers’ salaries, one cannot fail to applaud your managerial prowess and consistent efforts at motivating our workers.
“I thank you, our amiable Governor, for being sincere in your approach to the COVID-19 fight”, he added.
He went on to advise Akwa Ibom people to desist from unnecessary media attacks that would paint the state in bad light, but to support Governor Emmanuel to win the war against the global pandemic.
