DDP Galaxy Entertainment, owners of DDP Galaxy TV, has concluded arrangements to host Ibom Football Juggling Competition 2021.

Chief Executive Officer of DDP Galaxy Entertainment, Sir Obioma Onyeama, made this known on Tuesday during a press briefing at the company’s office in Uyo.

Sir Onyeama said his company would be holding the competition in conjunction with the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Saturday December 11, 2021 is scheduled for the preliminary stage of the competition, while the grand finale is fixed for Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Ibom Christmas Village, along Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, by 4pm.

Sir Obioma Onyeama, who is also known as Osunmanu, said that DDP Galaxy Entertainment was in Akwa Ibom State to discover and nurture talents to greatness in line with the Dakkada philosophy of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

The entertainment guru announced cash prizes of N250,000 for the winner of the competition and N150,000 for the first
runner-up, while the second runner-up is to take home N100,000.

Onyeama said that the gesture was his company’s way of encouraging sports talents across the state.

He expressed the readiness of DDP Galaxy Entertainment to partner with relevant stakeholders in the state to create a platform for talented individuals in the entertainment and sports sector.

“We are open for partnership with any company that will be interested to make the competition a glamorous event. We are believing that the Akwa Ibom State Government will continue to stay with us to make this competition a yearly affair”.

Sir Onyema hinted that a partnership between DDP Galaxy Entertainment, Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Guinness World Record Holder on Ball Joggling and Balancing, Mr Harrison Chinedu, gave birth to Ibom Football Joggling Competition 2021.

He said that the competition would provide Mr Chinedu another opportunity to set a new world record, as he would be balancing the ball on his head while attempting to remove 30 T-shirts from his body.

The DDP Boss said the competition is open to football jogglers in Akwa Ibom State irrespective of their gender or age.

According to him, the registration for this competition would be free, while forms would be available at the Information Center of Ibom Christmas Village.

He urged interested football jogglers to call 08034001374 for more details on the competition.
