The Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholarship is a free chance for African students to study for a one-year Master’s degree at Oxford University. It is for students who are passionate about their communities and want to make a difference.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be from an African country and live there
- Have an offer to study a Master’s degree at Oxford University
- Have good grades, leadership skills, and be committed to serving your community
- The scholarship is especially for groups that have not been well-represented in higher education, such as women, refugees, and people with disabilities.
The scholarship covers everything, including tuition, living expenses, travel, and other costs. Scholars also get a special Leadership and Impact Program, tailored academic and social support, and access to the AfOx Alumni Network.
To Apply
You must first apply to study a Master’s degree at Oxford University. If you are accepted, you will be invited to apply for the AfOx Graduate Scholarship Program. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed online before a decision is made.
The deadline is December/January for your course.
