SHOCKING! ! ! How A Nigerian Army Major And A Private Soldier Was Killed By Robbers In Jigawa (DETAILS)

There was pandemonium in the Dumdubus village of Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa State, when unidentified gunmen suspected to be armed robbers went on rampage and killed two travellers on Sunday around 9pm.
It was gathered that the two victims were travelling from Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital to Kaduna State.
It was further gathered that the robbers escaped into the bush on sighting a police patrol vehicle deployed to the area.
The Jigawa State Police Command confirmed the incident, adding that one of the victims killed by the robbers was a major in the Nigerian Army.
ASP Lawan Adam, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Jigawa state Police Command, while confirming the incident in a press statement, added that an army private was also killed in the robbery.
Lawan also disclosed that the incident happened around 9pm at the Dumdubus village in Dutse on Sunday, adding that the two men were travelling from Maiduguri in Borno state to Kaduna state.
The PPRO further disclosed in the statement that efforts are being made towards apprehending the culprits.
The statement said, ” Information was received around 9pm on July 4 that the road from Maiduguri to Kano expressway was blocked by armed robbers at Dumdubus village, Fanisau division, Dutse LGA.
” A police patrol team moved to the scene, which is about 40 meters after Dumdubus village. Prior to the arrival of the police patrol team, the robbers had escaped into a bush.
” One PTE Harisu Aliyu was wounded in his neck and shoulder, while Major M. S. Isma’ il was shot dead.
” Both were army officers travelling from Maiduguri to Kaduna, with number plate, BWR 105 BX. Meanwhile, efforts are in progress towards apprehending the fleeing suspects. “
