SUSPECTED IPOB/ESN GUNMEN ATTACK ANOTHER AKWA IBOM POLICE STATION,SIX FEARED DEATH
Gunmen suspected to be members of IPOB/ESN attack Odoro Ikpe Police Station, Ini Locla Government Area of Akwa Ibom State early hours of today, May 8, 2021.
Ini Local Government Area is a community sharing boundary with Abia State a known hub for IPOB and their security outfit ESN.
Our reporter who spoke to Chairman Hon. Israel Idiasim confirmed that to us that IPOB was behind the attack and that the government will make a statement about it very soon.
During the attack Six policemen were killed.
Few days ago, the Chairman of Ikono Local Government Area Hon. Nyakno Okuibo alleged that members of ESN attacked the police station in Ikono killing two police men and destroyed several properties.
Recall that Nnamdi Kanu IPOB leader said, “no single soul deserves to be in any prison in Nigeria”, apparently meaning that IPOB/ESN should attack all security formation and release all prisoners.
In Local Government Area is the fourth police station to be attacked. Essien Udim, Ikono, Ika Divisional Police Stations have all had their share.
The PPRO of police could not be reached for his comment.
