UYO SENATORIAL DISTRICT MEDIA PRACTITIONERS FORUM INAUGURATED

A Socio-political pressure group , the Uyo Senatorial District Media Practitioners Forum- USDMPF, has been inaugurated with Deacon Ofonime Isong, as Chairman and Prince Emmanuel Ndon as Vice Chairman respectively.
Deacon Isong is the Publisher of The Prime Voice Newspaper while Ndon is the Publisher of Daily News Newspaper.
Other members of the executive are Comrade Etebong Akpan Assistant Secretary; Pastor Michael Okon, Public Relations Officer; Mrs Ekaette Joseph Thompson, Treasurer, Comrade Victor Ukpong, Director of Contact and Mobilization, Mr Utitofon Morgan, Director of New Media, Comrade Charles Akpan, Director of Electronic Media, Comrade Ephraim Ikpe, Director of Print Media,
Mr Uwemedimo Ekeng Assistant PRO, Comrade Mabel Ekanem, Financial Secretary with Rev. Osondu Ahirika serving as Secretary.
In his acceptance speech, Deacon Isong disclosed that, the primary aim of the Forum is to create a structure that will set the agenda and shape public discourse on issues that affect the people of Uyo Senatorial District in particular and the State in general, especially with specific attention to the emergence of a Governor from Uyo Senatorial District come 2023.
The Uyo Senatorial District Media Practitioner’s Forum is a coalition of frontline Print, Electronic and New Media professionals formed to present a formidable platform to galvanize the people towards a common good..
Speaking further, Isong advised members to eschew personal interests in their activities so that the Forum can achieve her aims and objectives.
Isong who also appreciated the present administration led by Governor Udom Emmanuel for her performances so far urged the Citizens to support Good governance while working towards ensuring the emergence of a new leadership in the State by 2023.
