Federated Chapel launches Welfare Scheme for members

Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council has announced an all inclusive Welfare package for her members.
Chairman of the Chapel Nsibiet John affirmed this during the inaugural meeting of the body held Friday at the NUJ Press Centre.
John while presenting Welfare packages to two of the members Comrades Priscilla Christopher and Bassey Ibiatisuho said, the essence of the Welfare is to ensure that Journalists in the Chapel are given a huge sense of belonging and encouraged to soldier on in the Profession which he described as very noble and engaging.
Speaking further, the Chapel leader said, the whole essence of Unionism is about welfare. He said, he will ensure that every member of the Chapel is made to benefit from the Chapel’s welfare policy which he described as all embracing.
Chairman of the NUJ in Akwa Ibom State, Amos Etuk who pesented the Welfare package to beneficiaries during the launch described the Federated Chapel Chairman’s initiative as legendary, top notch and very fantastic.
The NUJ Boss added that he is impressed with the first outing of Comrade John. He appealed for support to the Chapel leadership adding that Comrade NSIBIET JOHN is a go getter who will deliver massive dividends to members of the Chapel.
He said, “I am impressed with what my brother is doing. His attention on the Welfare of his members has stood him out. The State Councol is proud of him”
Others who spoke during the congress were Chairman of NAWOJ Uduak Ekong, Chairman of Consolidated Chapel Uwem Ekoh, Publisher of Crest Newspaper Kufre Etuk, Press Secretary to Onofiok Luke, Aniekan Udofia and many others. They all eulogize Comrade NSIBIET John and members of his Exco for the Welfare launch which they described as a big step in the right direction towards quality leadership for the people.
Pioneer beneficiaries of the Welfare Scheme Priscilla Christopher and Bassey Ibiatisuho appreciated the Chairman and members of exco for such initiative where they described as laudable and pledged to ensure that they use the funds judiciously.
