
AKWA IBOM SON, ENGR ENANG, YOUNGEST PERSON CONFERRED FELLOW BY NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS
Engr. Dr Wisdom Enang has been conferred a fellow by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
The conferment ceremony was held at NSE Auditorium, Nigerian Society of Engineers Central Area, Abuja on Wednesday 19th May, 2021 during the 17th Fellowship conferment ceremony.
Engr. Enang who is 31 years of age was honoured with the fellow award by the President of this umbrella organization for Engineering Professionals in Nigeria, Engr. Babagana Mohammed (FNSE).

He is currently the Youngest person to ever be conferred with a Fellowship of the NSE.
Engr. Dr. Wisdom Patrick Enang is a quintessential leader, technocrat and astute scholar who hails from Akwa Ibom State Nigeria.
He obtained his Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath, a leading Institution in Engineering at UK.
He currently serves as an Operations Engineering Consultant, and is in charge of the operations and maintenance of 24 shallow water oil and gas assets in Nigeria.

Prior to this, Dr. Enang worked as an engineering technical lead, responsible for the project management and design engineering oversight for over 20 oil and gas execution projects between 2015 and 2020. The scope of responsibilities under his leadership included:
• Integrity restoration for brownfield projects.
• Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering design for greenfield projects.
Dr. Enang is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK, a distinguished Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and an internationally published expert in the field of engineering. His areas of research include carbon capture; decarbonization; energy economics; operations integrity management; oil and gas policy formulation and implementation; enhanced oil recovery; and operations digitization. In addition to providing technical advice on the Nigerian “Oil and gas industry reform programme”, Dr. Wisdom is also a public commentator within the Petroleum and Natural Resources Sectors, covering the following topics:
• Governance
• Domestic gas sector development
• Local content policy formulation and implementation
• Statute and regulations
• Policy design and implementation
He is a renowned expert, whose contributions to the development of oil and gas in Nigeria has been featured in a number of public communication media. Dr. Enang’s unrivalled contributions have been recognised both nationally and internationally, with accolades from several renowned professional institutions including a Key Scientific Article Certificate presented by the Advances in Engineering Society; a certificate of recognition presented by the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute; and recognition award presented by the prestigious Lawyers in Oil and Gas Network Group, to mention but a few.
Dr. Wisdom has proved himself to be a benevolent leader through his various contributions in vocational nation building extracurricular activities, including free tutoring, youth empowerment, mentoring, and trainings. He currently volunteers in the following capacities:
• Peer-reviewer for a number national and international engineering journals in the energy sector.
• Keynote speaker for energy related conferences.
• Mentor with YEEC (Young Engineers Entrepreneurship Club) Africa.
• Pioneer secretary of YEEC Africa fellowship council.
