EPIDEMIOLOGIST DOCTOR SPEAKS ON COVID-19 BREAKOUT IN AKWA IBOM
CORONAVIRUS IN AKWA IBOM
Dr Aniekeme Uwah, Akwa Ibom State Epidemiologist has spoken on the possible outbreak of Coronavirus also known as COVID – 19 in the state.
Several social media reports that two persons have been infected with the virus in the state crediting the source to a popular radio station located at new stadium road.
In a release signed by the Epidemiologist, he said there was no cash of COVID -19 in Akwa Ibom State.
“There is NO case of COVID-19 in Akwa Ibom.
Stop spreading rumors, panic and falsehood. Only the Ministry of Health has the duty of announcing cases of Corona Virus after due tests.”
He further advised members of the public to practice social distancing, no shaking of hands and washing hands regularly.
“For now, practice social distancing, no hand shakes and wash hands regularly.
Disregard the falsehood being bandied around”
