Senator Albert Graces Catholic Diocesan New Year Prayer, Fasting Assembly 2022

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) and Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA) graced the Diocesan New Year Prayer and Fasting Assembly 2022 of the Catholic Diocese of Uyo.
Senator Albert, who is the Leader of the Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly attended the Church Service with the theme “Come To Me Heedfully, Listen That You May Have Life” with scriptural passage taken from Isaiah 55:3 at Cardinal Ekandem Seminary Grounds, Dominic Utuk Avenue, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday, January 09, 2020.
The two-term senator joined the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, represented by the Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo, MFR; Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem; members of the State Executive Council, members of the Catholic Church; politicians and other government functionaries to the Diocesan New Year Prayer and Fasting Assembly 2022.

The host Prelate, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. John E. Ayah, Catholic Bishop of Uyo, delivered the Homily at the Mass of the Solemnity of the Baptism of the Lord.
Priests, who assisted the Catholic Bishop included Very Rev. Fr. Patrick Umosen, Very Rev. Fr. Dominic Akpakpan and Very Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ating.
