2023: Youth reaffirms support for Gov Emmanuel’s Completion Agenda

Akwa Ibom Youth Caucus yesterday reaffirmed their support to the completion agenda of Mr. Udom Emmanuel’s administration. The group made this known when the 31 Local Government Chairmen and Senatorial District Coordinators paid a solidarity visit to the Supreme Council of Akwa Ibom State Youth Leaders in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital.
The Chair of Chair, Youth Caucus, Comrade Idorenyin Umoh while setting the tone, thanked Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for fulfilling his campaign promises especially in the areas of industrialization, infrastructure and sustaining peace by investing in security.
Comrade Umoh also thanked the Supreme Council of Akwa Ibom State Youth Leaders led by Isatim Kenneth Okon for facilitating appointments and Inter-Ministerial jobs for the youths of the state.
Assessing the gathering, the Supreme Leader Isantim Kenneth Okon flanked by Prince Ikim, Hon. Tony Akan and other leaders said they have groomed new leaders from the Youth Caucus and advised the group on way forward, towards participating in politics and governance and contributing their quota to the development of the state.
In his words, “Because some of us are overgrowing youthful activities, we have groomed a lot of leaders to take over from us. We expect them to conduct themselves with decorum, sincerity, because nothing scatters a group like distrust, insincerity, dishonesty. We have come this far because we have been honest to our followers, they follow us because they know they will benefit…”
“Through this group called Youth Caucus, we have empowered a lot of youths in this state, variously, from Local Government to State to National. If we bring out the list, the state will appreciate that the youths should not be ignored. We have a lot of House of Assembly members, Commissioners, Special Assistants, Local Government Chairmen, Councilors”, he stated.
Isantim Okon also affirmed the Supreme Council’s support for the Mr. Udom Emmanuel’s Completion Agenda, promising to always stand by the government towards the realization of a better Akwa Ibom for all citizens.
He further advised the youths to work closely with Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Youth and Sport, Senior Special Assistant on Youth Matters to stabilize the polity and advised that female youths should be carried along and protected as partners in Peace Maintenance and are free to consult the Supreme Council anytime.
The Youth Caucus is an umbrella Youth mobilisation group for the emancipation, empowerment and development of youths in Akwa Ibom State.
