HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY: AKWA IBOM PDP TELLS ESSIEN UDIM PEOPLE WHAT TO DO

Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has told the people of Essien Udim Constituency what to do ahead of the upcoming election has ordered by the Appeal Court siting in Calabar.
The State Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo addressing newsmen in the party headquarters in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital on a text titled “AND THE LORD SHOWED UP FOR US AGAIN” meant to address the state at the end of election petition appeals at the Court of Appeals.
The Party asked the party officers of Essien Udim to begin preparation for election soon.
“We charge our ward and chapter officers in Essien Udim to begin to energize our grassroot structures in preparation for our impending roll out.”
The party further urged the party faithful in Mbo local government area to accept the judgement which reversed the victory of PDP at the state house of assembly elections in that constituency.
“To our party faithful in Mbo, I urge them to accept the judgement of the court of Appeal reversing our victory at the polls and exhibit political maturity. They must ensure that a peaceful political environment is preserved in the best interest of the Akwa Ibom project”
The party appreciates the Justices of the Court of Appeal for judgements delivered and accepts all the judgements even as the party lost one seat in the court.
“We sincerely appreciate the intellectual industry invested in the delivery of the judgments by the Learned Justices of the Court of Appeal. They have proven to the world that our country’s judiciary is constituted by persons of towering integrity and unbending honesty, applying extant laws to presented facts and delivering judgements according to Law, irrespective of political affiliations. This explains why we have accepted all the Judgements of the Court in good faith, even when one did not go in favour of our Party.”
