ORUK ANAM 2023: SAMPSON IDIONG APPOINTS FORMER COMMISSIONER CAMPAIGN DG
Prince Sampson Idiong, Aspirant for Oruk Anam State Constituency under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has appointed a former Education commissioner as the Director general of his campaign organisation.
Idiong made this announcement last week during a consultative visit to his kindred where he formally declared his intentions to contest for the Oruk Anam State Assembly seat, come 2023.
He appointed Pastor (Dr) Paul Udofia a senior lecturer in the Geology department of Akwa Ibom State University, was an Education Commissioner in Akwa Ibom State.
The Special Assistant to the Governor on inter-ministerial direct labour projects expressed hope and confidence in the capacity and ability of Dr Udofia to discharge his responsibilities efficiently. He also added that members of the campaign team will be announced in due course.
It is on record that Dr Udofia facilitated the establishment of Army Command science school in Efa as well as taking over of 7 private schools by the Akwa Ibom State Government under the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel. Similarly, the history of Navy military school in Ikot Ntuen, Oruk Anam won’t be complete without mentioning Pastor Udofia as one of the midwives.
On community development, pioneer leader of Oruk Legislative Council as a Commissioner, donated a town Hall to his kindred, built lock-up shops in the market, potable water with generator, amongst other live touching projects.
The Senior Pastor, new creation Ministry who is also the Secretary, Oruk Anam leadership forum is not a political neophyte.
Asides playing an effective role in the emergence of Governor Udom Emmanuel, Dr Udofia in different adminstrations of Oruk Anam local government council, has served as a supervisory Councillor for Heath/social service, Supervisor for works, as well as special Adviser, political and chieftaincy affairs.
He was a member-elect, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly in 1997 under UNCPP, member, Akwa Ibom Peoples forum, member Godswill Akpabio/Ekpotu campaign organization and chapter coordinator, Yaradua/Good luck campaign organization in 2007.
Happily Married to Mrs Emaeyak with three Children, Udofia who has so many awards to his credit, is member of several professional bodies, including Nigeria Mining and geoscience society.
